Susie A Shackford, the daughter of Alfred Marshall and Martha Jane (Barber) Shackford was born October 30, 1862 in Canaan, New Hampshire. 
Although Susie’s marriage record shows she was 18, she was still 17 when she married William H Tucker (also known as Willie H Tucker), the son of Joseph and Betsy (Smith) Tucker. At the time of their marriage, William was a railroad station agent at the West Lebanon station and Susie was working as a telegraphic operator. William continued to work as a railroad station manager until around 1910 when he became a proprietor of a livery stable. Susie worked as a housekeeper and raised five children.
Susie’s husband William died on August 3, 1911 of pulmonary tuberculis and lived next to her son Lawrence and and raised her youngest son Albert who was working as a carpenter at the age of 18. By 1930, Susie and her sister Addie had moved into Lawrence’s home.
Susie died on July 28, 1934 in Lebanon of arteriosclerosis and was buried next to her husband in the Wells Cemetery in Canaan, New Hampshire.

Alfred Barber Tucker (1901-1966) – married Hilma Evelyn Ouimett
Susie A Shackford is my seventh cousin 1x removed.
