Lizzie May Shackford, the daughter of William Bell and Mary Eliza (Howe) Shackford was born Aug 3, 1884 in Chelsea, Massachusetts.  In 1900 she and her mother were living with Lizzie’s grandfather William T Howe.

On April 27, 1904, Lizzie married William H Burke who worked as a commercial traveler, a traffic clerk for a rubber factory, and a salesman for a bedding company.

From Lizzie’s obituary, we know she died January19, 1984, lived at 195 North Main Street, worked as a secretary at the First Savings & Loan Association, and spent 10,000 hours volunteering at the Veteran’s Association (what an amazing service to veterans!!!) and also helped the Sharon Advocate operate when the person who ran the paper went on vacation .
