Carrie Marie Shackford, the daughter of Edward Warren and Georgiana (Lee) Shackford was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on March 15, 1880. On June 5, 1880 the census taker recorded the 2/12 year old Carrie as living with her parents, her three year old brother Charles.
On April 15, 1900, twenty year old Carrie who was listed as 21 on her marriage record, married William M Healey, a widow who was listed as 39 years old on the marriage record. 
We’re not sure of William’s age as he is listed in the 1860 census as 3, the 1870 census as age 14, the 1880 census as age 21, in his first marriage in 1892 as age 34, and in the 1900 census as age 37. We’d assume the earlier records are correct and that William was 44 when he married Carrie.
One June 7, 1900 Carrie was listed in the census records twice, once as the single daughter of Edward W Shackford living at 3 Hazelwood Street and later on the same page as the wife of William M Healey, living at 38 Munroe Street.
We don’t know who the census taker spoke to when they listed Carrie as single living with her parents – was it a neighbor who didn’t know she was now married or was it her parents who she hadn’t told that she’d gotten married? What we can tell is that the two residencies were 1/3 mile from one another.
Two weeks after the census was taken, Carrie gave birth to a son, Lee S Healey, born on on June 26, 1900 who died of meningitis six months later. Her second son, Stanley Kenneth Healey was born on December 10, 1901.
In 1910, Carrie had returned home to live with her parents while William was living elsewhere in Boston. We haven’t learned what happened to William. Carrie moved to Maine and married Ancel Dawson Brewer, a carpenter from Canada on July 23, 1919 who was eight years her junior. They were married two years until she died of peritonitis at the age of 41 on May 11, 1921. Mr Brewer married again in 1924 and died at the age of 83 on Dec 24, 1971.
